His bodyguard the board members had insisted upon after that fateful night had proved to be frightfully competent and equally unobstrusive. Wherever Bruce went - be it to business meetings, cave-diving or spelunking - he followed silently like a shadow.

Others might but Bruce never allowed himself to forget his presence. It is highly ironic, he mused, that I am supposed to feel save with him. I would consider him a ally, even a friend but he remains a constant threat himself.

Bruce could always feel Ducard's eyes on him. Because a good bodyguard is also a good watchdog.
